Money-focused, poor communication, & lack of professionalism.
Our experience with KB Notarissen for a straightforward post-nuptial agreement was frustrating from start to finish.
What should have been a simple, routine agreement dragged on painfully for 7 months due to a total lack of efficiency, organization, and transparent communication.
Key issues we experienced:
- Hidden billing practices: We were invoiced per 10-minute increment, a policy never specified upfront nor stated in their Terms & Conditions. The total cost vastly exceeded the initial estimates we requested, and the notary repeatedly pushed for unnecessarily long calls to inflate the bill.
- Lack of expertise & wasted time: The notary misunderstood basic requirements of our agreement, lacking the knowledge to execute what we wanted to include and exclude. This led to hours of wasted time and endless, futile back-and-forth.
- Operational chaos: Midway through, our assigned contact left the firm. With no handover process in place, it took them 1 month just to inform us and regain access to her email to answer basic follow-ups.
- Billing errors: To top it off, they sent us an inflated invoice at the end of the process.
Once they finally received our payment, they completely ghosted us—no payment confirmation receipt, no formal closing of the file, and not even a simple "thank you."
This firm operates with no long-term vision or care for client relationships, treating clients merely as open wallets. Save yourself the stress, money, and time, and look elsewhere.

Ton
Ver beneden peil. Wij als verkopende partij hebben nooit een prijsopgave gekregen evenals de kopers. Pas bij de overdracht kregen wij een hoge rekening van 350 euro en de kopers partij van 1850 euro. Let wel dit was nooit gecommuniceerd. Bij de overdracht een kattige snel geïrriteerde notaris die een hoop onzin vertelde. Binnen de firma was absoluut geen enkele vorm van communicatie. Wij hebben nooit een mail gezien van deze notaris. Diep diep triest.

De Bruijn
Notaris Bernard Kapma heeft in 2019 de nalatenschap van mijn moeder afgewikkeld als testamentair executeur. Ik zou deze notaris nooit als executeur laten aanstellen omdat er meer in zijn eigen zak vloeit dan waar de erfgenamen recht op hebben. De meest simpele erfenis afwikkeling maakt hij tot een heel ingewikkelde waardoor zijn kosten exorbitant hoog zijn. Ik wil iedereen waarschuwen om niet met deze notaris in zee te gaan ivm een nalatenschap
